YouTube — Check the video is public. Private, unlisted, age-restricted, and region-locked videos are not supported.
PDF — Check the file is under the size limit. Scanned PDFs with no text layer will load — use the annotation tools and (( Snip & AI )) instead of text selection.
Web article — Some pages block external access. If a URL fails, copy the article into a TXT file and upload it.
Podcast — Use a direct episode link, not a show homepage.

Chrome Extension Not Working
Make sure the extension is installed and enabled:
chrome://extensionsRefresh the page before clicking the Gistr icon
Sign out and back into the extension

Video or Audio Not Loading
Check your internet connection
Reload the Thread
For YouTube: confirm the video is still publicly available
For podcasts: confirm the episode URL is still active
AI Credits Exhausted
If you hit your daily or monthly credit limit, AI features pause until your plan resets.
Daily limits reset every 24 hours
Monthly limits reset on your billing cycle (or the calendar month for free accounts)
To keep working without waiting: buy a (( one-time pass )) or upgrade your plan.
