Sharing a Thread

The Share button (top-right of any Thread) opens a modal with two tabs: Share and Download.

Threads are private by default. You decide who sees them.

Invite Specific People

In the Share tab:

  1. Type an email address into Add emails to invite

  2. Click + to add more

  3. Send

Set the Access Level

Three options control who can see what:

Access Level

Who can view

Restricted (default)

Only people you explicitly invite

Anyone with the link

Anyone who has the share link

People with access

Only people who have been invited (a stricter version of Restricted)

Copy a Link

The black Copy Link button copies the shareable URL to your clipboard. The URL only works according to the access level you set.

What Happens When Someone Opens Your Thread

When someone opens a shared Thread, they can clone it — meaning a copy becomes fully theirs. They inherit your Sources, structure, AI conversation, notes, and highlights. From there, they make their own sense of it.

Why clone instead of read-only? Because knowledge handed to you is someone else's understanding. Knowledge you work through yourself — that's yours. Cloning gives the recipient a starting point, not a finished product.
